Before you really get into embroidery, let’s take a look at the most important basics of hand embroidery together. In this Class you will learn which terms you will encounter again and again, which materials are available and which tools will make your work easier.
We start with the most important technical terms and the various embroidery surfaces that are crucial for your projects. Then you will get to know the different threads and learn which abbreviations will save you time in everyday embroidery. We will also take a look at the various embroidery hoops, the needles you work with, and useful laying tools that will make it easier for you to get started.
At the end of this course, you will have a solid foundation on which you can build in all further courses – and you will feel more confident in the “language of embroidery.”
